EFFECT: The story is told that there was once a beautiful gypsy fortuneteller who could read minds and predict the future like no other. People came from all over to have this gypsy do readings for them. Her final reading came one fateful night when she was reading the cards for a young man who asked if his lady friend was true to him? When the gypsy pointed to the card that said NO the young man became enraged. He reached for his knife and cut off the finger of the gypsy, which was pointing at the negative card. The faith of the gypsy from that time on has been lost in history. What is known is that her severed finger managed to survive. I recently was able to purchase it from a band of traveling gypsies, who warned me that strange things often occur with the gypsy finger. From then on the mystery and the fun begin. You bring forth a beautiful Caribbean Cherry card-reading board and a mysterious black box, containing two sets of cards and the GYPSY FINGER. The first set of 5 cards are E.S.P. (symbol) cards. They are mixed and a spectator FREELY selects one. The cards are then shuffled by the spectator and placed in a row on the exquisite looking card-reading board. The GYPSY FINGER is then shown and moved down the row of cards. Suddenly the GYPSY FINGER jumps from your finger tips and rises slightly as it stands by itself and points to one card. The card is turned over and found to be the selected card. This can be repeated with a different card at a different location in the row. Now the fun really begins. The second set of 3 fortunetelling cards are shown. YES is printed on the back of one card, NO on another and finally a ? mark on the third. The 3 cards are FAIRLY mixed and placed face-down on the card-reading board. One of the spectators asks the GYPSY FINGER a question and the finger is again moved down the row of 3 cards. As before it suddenly jumps from your grip and rises slightly by itself, as it points to one card. The card is turned over and the spectator\\\\\\\'s question is answered with a YES, NO or ?. You can continue to repeat this with different spectators, asking different questions with different results. Along with being a mystery, this works well as a fortunetelling game at a party or small gathering. It is fun and guaranteed to get many laughs. This even plays well with children. Just change the story line and leave out the part about the man cutting off the finger. For children just make up a fairy-tale. NOTE: On both of the above routines YOU ARE IN COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE GYPSY FINGER. ALL of the props you receive are gimmicked in special ways, yet no risky electronics is used. Everything is built to last for years. The cards are laminated in heavy-duty plastic, the card-reading board is made of Caribbean Cherry.
