You remove a $1 dollar bill and a $10 bill from your wallet. You claim the $10 bill "weighs slightly more" because of the 8 zeros printed on it. Offer to prove it. Fold both bills into eighths. Turn your back and have a spectator place each bill separately into 2 small opaque bags. (NOTE: You actually DO NOT SEE or know which bill went into each bag.) Upon turning back around you pick up both bags, one in each hand , and let them dangle by the bags' draw strings, as if weighing them. One bag appears to be heavier then the other. We sold out of this amazing little cockroach at the 2011 I.B.M. Convention in Dallas . . . and that was before we taught "CC" (a.k.a.
CLAIRVOYANT COCKROACH) a GREAT TRICK! CC is a cute battery-operated electric cockroach that scurries around when you place him on any hard surface. Here is the trick we taught CC: A spectator selects a card and places it face-down on the table, WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT. CC is removed from your pocket and also placed on the table. CC scurries around the table for a few seconds. You claim CC is an extremely gifted cockroach that has amazing magic powers, as he will demonstrate. You pick up the selected card and place it FACE-DOWN on the palm of your hand, again WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT. You then pick up CC and place him on the back of the selected card. CC scurries around on the back of the card making a buzzing sound. You then remove CC from the card and hold him in front of a 2nd spectator and say, "CC will communicate the name of the selected card to you as he whispers in your ear." CC is held next to the 2nd spectator's ear where a faint buzzing sound is hear. You ask, "Can you hear CC and if so did CC reveal a card to you?" In May I worked a week at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. In every show I did my new trick "FISH IN A BOTTLE". It worked perfectly every time. I especially enjoyed looking a the reaction of the lady holding the bottle, when the fish magically appeared. I left the bottle (with the fish inside) sitting on a small table during the entire show. When the show ended the audience walked out of the show room and people would pick up the bottle and examine it. No one (including magicians) came up to me after the show and said, "I know how that it done". I used the same goldfish the entire week. He actually seemed to enjoy it! Now here is what happens: A plastic water bottle is shown to contain only clear water. The cap on the bottle is secured tightly so nothing can enter the bottle. You state the bottle contains an "INVISIBLE FISH". The bottle is handed to a spectator to hold. The spectator is asked to confirm that he/she can only see clear water in the bottle. You drape a black silk over the bottle, STILL HELD by the SPECTATOR. Tell the spectator if they say, "I believe in magic" the fish will APPEAR. Once that is said, you slowly pull the silk from the bottle. What was once a bottle containing only water now has a BEAUTIFUL LIVE GOLDFISH swimming around inside the bottle. (What makes this such a wonderful effect is that the magic happens close-up in the spectator's hand.) NO MAGNETS OR MIRROR TYPE GIMMICKS ARE USED. SQUEAKY-THE-MOUSE is the best card finding trick we have ever devised. Squeaky can "squeak" like a mouse whenever you want him to, without touching him. He talks to you or the audience with any number of "squeaks" you wish. A spectator FREELY selects a card from a small shuffled packet of cards.
